Game development in Prague

Browser and mobile games, playable ads and gamified campaigns, built to run smoothly on the phone in your customer’s hand. Quoted per project, from CZK 120,000.

A game lives or dies in the first thirty seconds

An ad interrupts. A game invites. That is the whole reason a brand reaches for one: a person who taps to play a quick round is giving you their attention on purpose, and holding it for a minute is worth more than a banner they scroll past in a blink. But the goodwill is fragile. If the game stutters, loads slowly or feels cheap in the first thirty seconds, the player leaves and the message never lands.

So that is where we put the work. Every Prahapp game starts from the moment a thumb first touches the screen: what the player does, how fast it responds, and how quickly the fun becomes obvious. Then we build exactly that, hand-tuned to stay smooth on the mid-range phone your audience actually carries, not the flagship on our desk.

What we build

  • Browser games (HTML5) that run in any tab with no install: competitions, mini-games for a campaign, interactive stories, in-page arcade moments.
  • Mobile games (Unity) for iOS and Android, from a single polished mechanic to a small game with levels, progression and sound.
  • Gamified marketing: spin-to-win, advent calendars, quizzes, scratch cards and leaderboards that turn a promotion into something people come back to.
  • Playable ads for Meta, Google, TikTok and AppLovin: a try-before-you-tap mechanic sized to each network’s budget and exported in the formats their ad managers expect.

We are a small Prague studio, so we tell you the honest truth up front: we prove our approach through sector showcase builds and measured performance, not a wall of client logos. If a project is better served by a simpler idea than the one you arrived with, we will say so.

HTML5 or Unity: how we choose

The engine is a means, not a badge. HTML5 wins when reach and zero friction matter most: a game that opens instantly from a link, a QR code on a poster, an email or an ad slot, with nothing to download. Unity wins when the experience needs more: 3D, physics, heavier art, app-store distribution and native performance on the device.

We pick the tool that fits your audience and your goal, and we say which and why before we quote. What we never do is dress a marketing gimmick up as a full app, or squeeze an app-sized idea into a browser where it will crawl. The right engine is the one your players never have to think about.

Performance is the whole game

A slow website loses a visitor. A slow game loses the room. Frame rate, load time and input lag are not technical vanity here: they are the difference between a player who finishes the round and one who quits before the fun starts. We build to a 60 fps target on mid-range phones, keep load times tight, and measure it on real devices instead of trusting the emulator.

Because we hand-build rather than bolt together templates, we can hold that budget with room to spare, the same discipline behind the websites we hand-code for speed. And because a game that nobody finds is a game nobody plays, we wire in analytics and event tracking from the start, so you can see where players drop off and where they lean in.

What it costs

Games are quoted per project, starting at CZK 120,000. A single-mechanic browser game or a branded playable ad typically lands between CZK 120,000 and CZK 250,000; a fuller mobile game with levels, original art and sound sits higher. What moves the number is scope: more mechanics, more original art, more platforms. Every price is fixed and written down before we begin, with no hourly meter and no surprises halfway through. Who this is for

Prague brands running a campaign, agencies who need a playable built properly, museums and cultural venues, event organisers, product teams launching something worth celebrating: anyone who would rather earn a minute of real attention than rent a second of it. Frequently asked questions

What does a game cost to build?

Every game is quoted per project, starting at CZK 120,000. A single-mechanic browser game or a branded playable ad usually lands between CZK 120,000 and CZK 250,000; a fuller mobile game with several levels, art and sound sits higher. The price depends on the number of mechanics, the amount of original art and how many platforms you ship to. Whatever the figure, it is fixed and written down before we start.

HTML5 or Unity, which one do we need?

It depends on where your players are. HTML5 runs in any browser tab with no install, which is perfect for a marketing game, a competition or a playable ad. Unity is the better tool for a richer mobile game that lives in the App Store and Google Play. We recommend one over the other for your project, and we explain why in plain terms rather than defaulting to whatever is easiest for us.

Can you build a playable ad from our existing brand?

Yes. A playable ad is a tiny interactive game that runs inside Meta, Google, TikTok or AppLovin and lets people try before they tap. We design the mechanic, build it in HTML5, keep it inside each network’s size budget and export it in the formats their ad managers expect. You get a version tuned for each channel, not one file that half-works everywhere.

Do we own the source code and the art?

Yes, you own everything: the source project, the art files, the sound and the exported builds. No watermarks, no per-play licence, no engine that locks you to us. If you later want another studio to extend the game, they can pick up a clean, documented project.

How long does a game take?

A focused browser game or playable ad is typically 4–8 weeks from brief to launch. A mobile game with multiple levels and original art runs longer, usually 3–5 months. We agree the scope and a written timeline before the first line of code, and we build in playable milestones so you see and feel the game long before it ships.

Not sure which service you need?

Describe your situation and we will point you to the right option, even if that means telling you not to buy from us yet.
